Duetful ("the App") is developed and operated by Peter Ambrozy, an independent developer based in the European Union. This Privacy Policy explains how the App collects, processes, and protects your information.
Duetful records conversations between couples, transcribes them, and analyzes communication patterns using established relationship science (the Gottman framework). The App provides health scores, highlights, and suggestions to help you communicate better.
Duetful is designed to collect as little personal data as possible.
When you start a session, the App records audio using your device's microphone. This audio is transmitted securely (via HTTPS) to our server for processing, forwarded to OpenAI's Whisper API for transcription, and deleted immediately after transcription — we do not store audio files.
After processing, we store the text transcript and communication analysis results (scores, highlights, suggestions). This data is accessible only to you.
Duetful uses anonymous authentication. A random unique identifier (UID) is generated when you first open the App. We do not collect your name, email, phone number, location, contacts, or device identifiers.
Legal basis (GDPR): Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — you actively choose to record and submit. Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b)) — processing is necessary to provide the service.
Data is stored in Firebase Firestore (Google Cloud, European Union). Data is associated with your anonymous UID — not with any personal identity. Data is retained until you choose to delete it.

We do not share data with any other third parties. No advertising, no analytics providers, no data brokers.
Before recording, the App requires confirmation that all participants have consented. You are responsible for ensuring everyone is aware of and agrees to the recording.

All transmissions use HTTPS. Audio is processed in-memory and deleted immediately. Data is stored in Google Cloud with enterprise-grade security. Anonymous auth means no password to compromise.
Duetful is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Data is stored in the EU. Audio sent to OpenAI may be processed in the United States under appropriate safeguards.
We may update this policy. Significant changes will be communicated through the App.

These Terms govern your use of Duetful ("the App"), developed by Peter Ambrozy. By using the App, you agree to these Terms.
Duetful is a relationship communication tool that records conversations, transcribes them, and provides analysis based on communication science (the Gottman framework). Duetful is not a substitute for professional therapy, counseling, or medical advice.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Duetful.
Duetful uses anonymous authentication — no email, password, or personal information required. You are responsible for maintaining access to your device.
You are responsible for ensuring all participants have given informed consent to being recorded. Recording laws vary by jurisdiction. The in-app consent flow does not replace your legal obligation.
Use Duetful only for its intended purpose. Do not record anyone without consent, use the App for surveillance or harassment, or attempt to exploit the service.
Audio is transmitted securely, transcribed via OpenAI Whisper, and analyzed via GPT-4o-mini. Audio is not stored — deleted immediately after transcription. Transcripts and analysis are stored in Firebase Firestore (EU).
AI limitations: Results may contain errors or inaccuracies. Do not rely solely on Duetful's analysis for important relationship decisions.
The App is owned by Peter Ambrozy. You retain ownership of your content. You grant us a limited license to process your content solely for providing the service.
The App is provided "as is" without warranties. Analysis is AI-generated and may not accurately reflect your relationship dynamics. Use results as a starting point for reflection, not definitive assessments.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the App in the preceding 12 months. We are not liable for actions taken based on the App's analysis.
You can stop using Duetful at any time. Delete your data from within the App before uninstalling. We may suspend access if you violate these Terms.
These Terms are governed by EU law. EU consumers retain mandatory consumer protection rights.
These Terms are between you and Peter Ambrozy, not Apple. Apple has no obligation for maintenance, support, or warranty beyond the purchase price refund. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms.
